RALEIGH, N.C. — A man passed a note to a teller just after noon Saturday at the Wood Forest National Bank branch inside a Walmart on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh, police said.

Surveillance in the store did not yield an immediate image of the suspect, so it is too soon to tell if the robber is the same man authorities think is responsible for a string of recent crimes.

The "Repeat Robber" has committed at least 11 robberies at banks around the Triangle over the past few weeks. He's also a suspect in a 2009 Raleigh bank robbery.

The "Repeat Robber" is described as a black man about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium-to-heavy build. He has worn a baseball cap and sunglasses to commit each of the crimes.
