Posted — UpdatedAfter three performances of the highly popular "Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone - in Concert" over the weekend in Raleigh, the N.C. Symphony will return in February to perform the music from the second film in the series.
"Harry Potter and the Chamber Secrets in Concert" is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Feb. 23 at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. The symphony will play John Williams' Grammy-winning score while the entire film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen.
The Harry Potter Film Concert Series, created by J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, kicked off in June 2016 with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and is scheduled to include hundreds of performances across more than 35 countries around the world through 2018, according to a press release. In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, cars fly, trees fight back and a mysterious house-elf pays Harry a visit to warn him of what lies ahead this year in the world of wizardry.
Right now, just one performance is planned. But, they originally only announced one performance for "Sorcerers Stone" and later added two more.
