Updated: Harris Teeter ad and Super Doubles good deals list!

Published: 2013-01-02 01:22:00
Updated: 2013-01-02 15:30:26

What a great way to start off the year: Harris Teeter Super Doubles! Here is the good deals list with lots of freebies and the deals from the ad starting 1/2. Please share any other great deals you find!

Coupon policy during Super Doubles:

* HT will be Super Doubling coupons worth up to $2 face value. This means that a $1.50 coupon will double to $3.00, $1.00 coupon will double to $2.00 and a $2.00 coupon will double to $4.00!

* HT begins super doubling coupons at 7:00 AM on the first day of the sale. 24 hour stores do not super double coupons before 7:00 AM on the first day (at least that is how it has always worked in the past).

* HT will super double/double up to 20 coupons per household per day. Spouse's cards registered with the same address are linked because the policy is 20 per household, per day. If you have twenty $1 coupons and twenty .75 coupons, only 20 total will double. They will not double 20 coupons that are under $1 and also super double another 20 coupons that are over $1. It's 20 total coupons that are $2 or less doubled per day.

* HT policy is to double up to 3 identical coupons (as long as you buy the product required for each coupon, of course). So, if you have five $1.00 coupons for a product, the policy is to only super double the first three. They will accept 2 printable coupons per like item, per store, per day, according to their policy.

Silk Fruit & Protein ..."Sorry, this coupon program has ended." Dang it.

No worries, Faye. With all my cats, I thought for sure if there were coupons for litter, I would have caught them, LOL.

mmillswilson - the HT coupon policy clearly states that they do not accept expired coupons (http://www.harristeeter.com/promotions/online_coupons/coupon_policy.aspx). That is actually the very first line of the policy. If we follow the policies, the companies are more likely to continue these promotions. They may not be getting reimbursed for your expired coupons and that costs them additional money. It's considered fraud to knowingly use expired coupons, so please reconsider their use. This is one of the reasons manufacturer's are moving to the new bar codes - the expired coupons are not supposed to scan so the cashier is alerted that there is an issue with the coupon. Instead, you can donate your expired coupons to our US military overseas who can use them for up to 6 months. See more info at coupsfortroops.com.

Dianenc - how odd - it was on the All You coupons list I had. I'll take it off the list above. Sorry.

Thanks to everyone for posting the additional deals you have found!

Do any of you use your expired coupons at HT? I do all the time and they them w/o fail. It is for this reason, I hold onto my coupons a little longer after expiration.

Faye - in your list, above, you mention a $1.00 coupon for Arm & Hammer cat litter was in both the December and January issues of All You. I just checked both of those issues (I just started receiving the magazine), and although there's an ad for this product in their December issue, couldn't find any coupons for it in either. Am I missing something? :)

The Hershey's Simple Pleasures candy were on sale for $3.00 so I got it free with my $1.50 coupon.

Faye - There is also a $1.00 off 2 coupon for the Special K Cereals (Any Variety!) at coupons.target.com :)

Well said, jdouglas. And don't forget that there are a bunch of new printable coupons that came out today and will continue to appear in the coming days.

There should also be at least 2 coupon inserts in the Sunday paper with coupons that you will be able to use during Super Doubles.

Thanks for all your hard work on this, Faye!

flashyswife, usually early in the year there aren't many coupons since so many expire on 12/31. It's just cyclical. Give it a few weeks, a few emails to your favorite coupon-generous companies, and some inserts, and you'll be well stocked again in coupons.

I hear you! Is this an indication of our economy!? I was very disappointed in the amount of coupons. I thought it was just me.

Thanks Faye!

I cleaned out my coupon binder today...it is very sad now...not many coupons left that are not expired. Hopefully we get some good inserts this month!
