Harris Teeter Super Doubles deals with Sunday coupons!

Posted January 12, 2015

Harris Teeter

Get those scissors clipping because there are a ton of new Harris Teeter Super Doubles deals with the coupons from the Sunday paper!

Keep in mind that just because there is a coupon available during Super Doubles, that does not mean that you automatically get a good deal. For instance, the Del Monte seasoned veggies are regularly priced at $1.89. There is a .50/1 coupon in the paper this week making them .89 after coupon. I am holding on to my coupon until the veggies go on sale at Harris Teeter or Lowes Foods (probably for $1) and will get them at a much better price - maybe even free!

You can see the master list of Harris Teeter Super Doubles deals at the link above. The Super Doubles promotion lasts through Tuesday, January 13.  Please share any other good deals you find!

BREZINMJKM, don't get discouraged!! I 'never' go on Wed. at all, usually wait til Fri. then maybe again Mon. eve. or Tuesday. I did that this SD round and have managed to use all the coupons I wanted - including 2 of the Tide pods, shampoos, in other words, 'all' the better coupons.

I refuse to go early Wed. and face all the mad masses ;-/ (mostly)!! Always go later and very seldom miss any of the great deals (occasionally some things are out of stock in warehouse).
    Good luck to you!

kmtblui - thanks for the heads up. Sadly, we did not get the Ken's coupons in the N&O. :-(

brezinmjkm - I am sorry you have not found better stock when you have shopped during super doubles at the Fayetteville stores. The stores do restock a couple times during the promotion so it's always a good idea to call the store and ask when their next truck comes in so you know when the shelves should be better stocked. In the end, if you have less flexibility, super doubles may not be the best promotion for you. I still find that when I go in during the middle of the promotion that I can find enough deals to make it worth the trip. There were many super deals this week that I found each of the 3 times I went and they had plenty of stock each time like the Libby's canned veggies, Progresso soup and Nutrigrain bars (with coupon and $4 promo discount). I usually only go if there is an HT on my way to somewhere else, because my closest HT is 20 minutes away. Good luck the next time you shop!

The bad thing is that HT is often out of stock on most of the items that would be good to have the super doubles on. As a working woman, I surely don't have time to be at their front door at 7am Wednesday morning to see about beating the crowds and definitely don't have time to go from store to store seeing who has what. That would negate any savings I might get through double coupons (Fayetteville only has 2 HTs.)
Once in a while I will find something worth while but most of the time NOT.

Not sure if theses coupons were in the Raleigh paper but in Greensboro there was $1 off 2 Kens salad dressings and they are bogo. Also a coupon for the smaller Kens dressing which made those free since they are each a dollar..

I believe the kleenex hand towel q is $1/2....I like to buy these for our 'shop' out back...but $2.00 too expensive...or is there another q I missed? Thanks, Faye for another great list!

The Lance coupon says DND and it doesn't double.

  • larindap3 Jan 11, 2015

    Ok, question for you ladies.
So i go to a non-Clayton HT hoping that something will be in stock. Did not pick up the 12 roll Angel Soft, due to the e-vic being 9 roll, though they were out of the 9 roll. Get up to the front and another shopper says, 'they are replacing the 9 roll with the 12 roll.' Ok, so i go and get a 12 roll, the cashier scans it and my coupon. Does not have the e-vic price. So, CS comes over, takes out the price of the 12 roll that scanned and the $.45 coupon that doubled and put the e-vic amount, $3.77 in. So i lost my $.45/doubled coupon = $.90. So, do i write HT and thank them for continuing to have super double coupons, but request that they train their folks on how to handle replacements for items no longer in stock or just let it go and figure it is $.90 life lesson. Thanks for your thoughts!

No problem Faye, sure was hoping I was missing something though :(

  • Faye Prosser -WRAL Smart Shopper Jan 11, 2015

ncblondegardner - actually, the .55 is for the 6 oz refrigerated one on sale for $2.50 and the $1 one is for the 22 oz frozen one on sale for $6.99 before coupon. I just amended the post. Thanks!

Ok, Faye, Thanks. Those don't really interest me either .
