I moved up the brag thread so you can keep sharing your deals and see everyone's great buys! Here's the place to share your great register totals, funny stories, coupon disasters and all things Super Doubles at Harris Teeter this week!
Good luck and have fun!
Here are the totals for my shop on Wednesday morning at the crack of dawn!
Subtotal before sales and coupons: $63.72
Total saved: $63.34
Total paid: 38 cents!
% Saved: 99%
As you can see from the grocery and receipt pictures above, I bought milk, yogurt, cheese, applesauce, 100% juice, mango salsa, pancakes, butter, spices and hair care. The only reason the candy bar is there is because I had a negative balance and had to grab something to get into the positive!
I used a combination of coupons, HT ZVR digital e-VIC coupons, rain checks for the pancakes ($2.50 - $1 coupon from the DeWafelbakkers calendar they sent a couple months ago with coupons = .50), Sorrento cheese sticks (BOGO raincheck - $1 coupon = .50 each) and a competitor's coupon.
There are a ton of good deals with this Super Doubles event and I look forward to shopping Thursday after the class in Fuquay!
Thanks to all of you for sharing your great deals and for helping to answer questions.

believe me...he hears my totals ALL the time and I think he's gotten a bit sick of it. For instance, last night we were flipping thru the tv and I asked what he'd like to watch. He said, "as long as it's not Extreme Couponers I'm good with whatever". I asked, "why not EX?"...he said, "because that stuff is NOT real...NOBODY can go into a store and save THAT much money". He's finally gotten *it* bc he would always ask, jokingly of course, why *I* couldn't save THAT amount of money and I would want to throat punch him. But instead I would patiently explain...AGAIN....how the stores allow these folks to break policy for publicity and such and the average person couldn't go into a store and puchase 500 bottles of gatorade using coupons. FINALLY FOLKS HE'S GOTTEN IT!!!!!!!!!!

I'm about to need another stockpile cabinet, folks. I organized, yet again, and I've got my huge pantry filled to the brim AND another tall cabinet with doors stocked. BTW, biggest purchase, as far as quantity? Cereal...lots and lots of cereal...14 boxes to be exact. And the amount I paid for those 14 boxes would buy 4 boxes at normal prices I would guess. I think I'm done with SD now...I mean, I don't have anywhere else to store anything. I am sending the SO out today for 3 bags of Seattle's Best coffee. He's a bit nervous.... c'mon 2 coupons? Surely, you'll do just fine with that. lol

I knew target would let you use both store/manf Q's BJ's does as well :) But I never considered scanning everything, I downloaded their phone app and never used it much. But it does have a scanner to check prices so I will be utilizing that for sure!

My lab is eating very well these days, and isn't hurting for treats either.

That's the whole idea behind higher savings rates over time is to stockpile on the items you can when the deal is the best - it allows you to 'bridge' to the next good deal/coupon line up without ever having to buy at the more expensive prices.
Faye, you KNOW your girls will be able to squeeze a dollar until it cries for mercy when they get on their own :) Kids exposed to smart financial habits become smart themselves - it just happens. Some later than others sometimes ;) But it DOES sink in and become a part of their approach to budgeting.
My Mom would send me to the store with coupons for a few items here and there when I was in high school, it made an impression no doubt!

Has any else noticed Catalina coupons for free Simply Pure Milk half gallons that prints out at HT? I received 2 in the same transaction, but I don't know what triggered it. I thought it was the Total cereal that I bought, but I realized that I purchased it on Wednesday, also, and didn't get a Catalina coupon for it then. Anyone have any ideas?
