Luvstoq, wow, I'm kind of speechless. How frustrating! I'd take Faye's advice and call customer service.

Great idea to have HT CS in your phone contacts as well as whatever stores we shop at frequently.

luvstoQ - I highly recommend you call the 1-800 customer service number on your card and speak with them about your experience. There really is no reason they could not have honored it once they saw it on the FB page. There was nothing you needed to sign up for and it should have scanned as .99 at the register. Dd you have one of the cashiers scan one of the specific varieties on their FB page? I also have HT customer service saved in my contacts and have been known to offer to call customer service while in the store if they were unable to honor a promotion from their FB page or website.

JDOUGLAS13, actually I told them to look at their FB page. They did while I was there and 'still' couldn't seem to understand it! Sigh ;-(

  • jdouglas13 Feb 23, 2016

Luvstoq, that is disappointing. It wouldn't have been that hard for someone at HT to look up their own FB page.

  • luvstoQ Feb 23, 2016

Well, was at HT today and 'nobody' had heard of the 99 cent spice promotion.
Finally told me 'so & so' said (whoever that was LOL) that you had to sign up somewhere to get that price! They didn't know where though, so I thanked them, said I didn't see that anywhere, and just left.

Wish HT did a better job of informing employees when they have unscheduled promotions - they are so good on most everything else.

I looked a little closer. I see that the wording has always been there below each item (guess I just never paid attention to it there) but they've also added it at the bottom of the email below where it says "Thank you for being a loyal HT customer." Thanks!

sduncan8 -as Jdouglas wrote, the wording regarding having to purchase all e-Vic deals at the same time to get the evic price has been there as long as I can remember. But you do not have to purchase all 4 to get the sale price. If you only buy 2, you will still get the e-Vic price for those 2 but if you try to buy 2 more later in the week you, will not get the e-Vic price on those since they were not purchased with the other 2. The register only allows you to get the e-Vic price on an item during one purchase. The weekend-only specials are usually a limit of 2 and the Fri-Tues specials are usually a limit of 4. I hope that helps!

  • jdouglas13 Feb 23, 2016

Sduncan8, was that for the weekend only specials? There is always an enforced limit on those, and they must be purchased in the same transaction.

Faye, I noticed in my e-VIC email from last Thursday that it now says, "Limit 4 of each offer per household, unless otherwise stated. All 4 items for each offer must be purchased in the same transaction to receive the special e-VIC price."

I do not recall seeing this message in previous emails. Have you noticed this and do you know if it is being enforced?
