Smart Shopper: Good Deal

Both Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods usually have some weekend specials for their e-Vic and Fresh Rewards members. Check your Friday e-mails from both stores to see the deals you received and then share them here.

Remember, the deals we receive on Fridays are different for each person and you may have totally different deals than those I receive. Check your Friday e-mails from both grocery stores to see the specific deals that are loaded to your reward cards. If you don't already receive the e-mails from these stores, you can sign up online at both company websites or call the customer service number on your rewards card:

What I have had to do in the past is add the powdered to the regular so that it's a half&half mix. It's less detectable that way. I only have one in the family that doesn't mind the powdered. The worst I've heard from the others when I mix it is that it tastes "different". I just shrug and they drink it anyway :)

I'm seriously contemplating starting to use powdered milk as a the bridge between milk deals, at least for cooking, baking purposes. Since we drink skim milk, it shouldn't be a tough transition taste wise.

I was really hoping for a milk deal so I wouldn't have to pay full price for some. We just ran out of the 2 gallons we bought with the last Harris Teeter milk deal!

The prices of EVERYTHING are rising :(
I scored two Land of Lakes half stick (one pound packages) at Kroger last week when they were $2.50 and the 50 cent coupons were on I would have bought more if I had more coupons! But was glad to get those!

Sorry...I was mistaken. I just read the back of the card. It says "$50.00 purchase must be met after all other coupons/discounts have been applied".

The HT coupon the couponscouter posted can be used bf coupons. You can also use it at LF since they consider it a competitors coupon. I don't spend that much often, either, unless I do a meat purchase and then I definitely hit that much. They are good through the end of the year.

Mobile Target coupons cannot be printed. I understand there is going to be one in the ad this weekend but am not sure if it will be the actual Q or have a number to text to. The mobile coupons usually go live a couple days early. I am using mine at Target, since I can use it first and then take Qs off of it, it is a much better deal.

$5 off $50 order coupon along with other offers from various businesses is current ly being offered by the Boy Scout and Venturing units around the area. You purchase a card with the tear off tab for $ off at HT for $5 and half of the money goes directly to the Scout to pay for them to go to camp or related scouting activites and the other half goes to the council to pay for programs. It ends up being free to you since you get your $5 back off the grocery purchase and you help the youth in becoming our future leaders. Venture Crew 5 in Wake Forsest is selling them, but you can ask any Scout that you know if they have them.
