Updated: Harris Teeter deals: Gorton's, Oscar Mayer bologna, yogurt, Steamfresh, canned veggies & more!

Posted March 6, 2014

Harris Teeter

Harris Teeter has some very good deals starting Wednesday, 3/5 including Gorton's, Oscar Mayer bologna, yogurt, Steamfresh, canned veggies, Think Thin bars, Yakisoba noodles, CoverGirl eyeliner, Special K cereal, Haribo gummi candy, Vidal Sassoon shampoo (FREE!) & more! There is also a super General Mills promo with some great deals!

Update on 3/6: I just updated the list to include even more deals like Dr. Oetker pizza, Dawn dish soap, Suave body wash and more! Thanks to everyone for sharing these deals!

Please share any other great buys that you find!

Harris Teeter Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 3 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price. The policy has recently changed and now states that you can only use two coupons on a BOGO deal. So, if you buy 2 items that are BOGO, you can use two coupons (which is a very good thing!).

Click HERE for the official Harris Teeter Coupon Policy.

Senior discount: Seniors 60 and older receive a 5% discount every Thursday. Discount applies after coupons are deducted.

e-coupons: Don’t forget to add the e-coupons to your Harris Teeter VIC card and remember, you can stack the e-coupons (also known as ZVR coupons) with manufacturer coupons to maximize savings. The link to your e-coupons are in your Wednesday e-Vic e-mail. Click HERE to sign up for e-Vic digital coupons. You can also add the e-coupons to your Vic card through your account at HarrisTeeter.com. Remember that not everyone gets the same ZVR coupons. If I have a ZVR digital coupon listed below, it does not mean that you have it available in your digital coupons.

These deals are valid March 5 – March 11, 2014.

General Mills promotion: Buy 6 participating products and get $3.50 off your next produce purchase! There are a bunch of participating products and you can find them all on their website HERE.   The link to this deal was also in the e-vic e-mail sent by Harris Teeter early Wednesday morning.

The best deal with the promo is:

Yoplait yogurt singles, 6 oz, .50 each
Coupons: .40/6 or .50/8 coupons from 2/2 SS
ZVR: .40/6 HT ZVR digital e-coupon

Total after manuf coupon, ZVR and Savingstar = .23 each AND you get the $3.50 produce coupon for your next order!

Here is how the $3.50 comes off: Thanks to Diana (RaleighFoodBlogger) for the details! She wrote: "I did 2 transactions (with just the produce in the second). After the first, the bottom of the receipt showed the $3.50 off for the next order. Then when they did the second, it came off automatically. T here was nothing printed (like a Catalina)".

Kraft promotion: Buy 10 participating items and get $5 off instantly at the register. Participating items include various A1 sauce, Kraft mayo, Capri Sun, Cracker Barrel cheese, Oscar Mayer lunch meat, Velveeta Skillets, Kraft cheese slices, Planters nuts, Kraft salad dressing and Maxwell House coffee.  The specific varieties are indicated on the shelf tags.

Included in this promotion is Kraft cheese, 16 oz for $3.50. Use the .75/1 coupon from Smart Shopper coupons link above to make it $3 and then the promo takes off another .50 (when you buy 10 total participating items). Bethmarcom-awesome totals! I also noticed I got the rebate too multiple times. The first two trips it printed out a $3.50 produce coupon but I noticed Saturday when I went that my total was lower than I anticipated so I looked at the register and noticed I got another $3.50 deducted from my actual total, no produce coupon, which either way is fine w/me. I was pleasantly surprised!

HT Sunday trip - Purchased a rotisserie chicken (always $4.99 on Sundays), three Hamburger Helpers, two Betty Crocker cake mix, two Pictsweet Corn, two Birds Eye corn, Kraft Shredded chz, two Kraft block chz, four PB Snickers, four TWIX, HT brand fruit loops, Liberte yogurt, 6 Yoplait yogurts, 2 gal of HT milk, 2 Angel Soft weekend deals, 2 Kleenex, Lindt candy bar for Shopmium rebate, 7 bananas on marked down cart, two Vidal Sassoon, two cans Campbell's homestyle, one Progresso recipe starter - before $99.68, I paid $28.37 plus got $7 in GMills refunds, and $7.29 coming back from Shopmium, IBOTTA, Savingstar, and Checkout 51.

2honest2care they surprisingly already came off of my next two purchases without purchasing any produce. Was gonna save them for produce purchase but they came off of my normal grocery purchases....twice.

  • 2honest2care Mar 9, 2014

From my experience bethmarcom you CAN receive multiple $3.50 credits for the produce. However, you can only use 1 per transaction. So if you buy $7 worth of produce you have to split the transaction. You don't have to buy the produce on the transaction to receive the credit, just the qualifying items. Great job on those credits though, wait and use them on a really great sale of veggies or fruits!

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but was surprised to find out that if you buy multiple groups of 6 items from General Mills that are in the $3.50 off next produce purchase deal, you do get multiple $3.50 reimbursements. I purchased 12 items on my original receipt along with many other grocery items. I then purchased a couple of items that were Checkout 51 items and neither of which were produce and $3.50 G Mills Reward was credited on that receipt. Later the same day I went in again to pick up a couple more items, and another $3.50 G Mills Reward was credited to that purchase as well. I did not purchase any produce on either of the latter two purchases, but received the $3.50 off of my total both times. Was surprised that I could get the $3.50 off multiple times and also surprised that I received without buying produce.

Just a quick FYI that it appears the Birds Eye Steamfresh coupon is no longer available, and I keep getting an "Error!" message every time I try to get the Haribo coupon to print from their FB page, no matter which browser I use.

  • scoutmomof2 Mar 8, 2014

MAALP, I would check with HT for that.

  • maalp Mar 8, 2014

I bought the required 6 of the qualifying General Mills cereals, but did not receive the $3.50 off produce coupon. Does anyone know if I need to ask HT about the coupon or ask General Mills? Thanks.

  • 2honest2care Mar 7, 2014

I have had a lot of "good" deals at HT, but not as good as yesterday... spent $40, saved $96, I also was able to get the $3.50 in free produce and I am getting back $3.75 from checkout51 & savingstar! I would NOT have been able to do it without all of YOU! Thank you!

  • corbin04 Mar 7, 2014

Hit ole HT again this morning...spent $39, saved $78 and came away w/another $3.50 off produce coupon. Great week so far and it's only been 2 days!
