Thanks BASEBALL2HOCKEY, that's good to know.

    Dr.D
I just went to the HT website to verify their HT Brand guarantee. If you aren't completely satisfied with their brand they will gladly give you a refund on it with proof of purchase and also replace it with a like item for FREE.

JDOUGLAS13 - No, it was their HT Premium Center Cut Bacon, and didn't say uncured. But we did wonder if maybe it really was uncured, and accidentally put into the wrong packaging. We ended up adding salt and pepper when cooking the remaining slices in the pack so that it wasn't so blah tasting. I'm not usually one to add salt to anything, so for me to say it was bland without the added seasoning, it was really tasteless.

I'll check in our chest freezer to see if we already have any more of the same, and if so, try another pack before buying more.

Thanks for the tip on the HT bacon, DrD. Any chance it was uncured? Without the nitrates it definitely tastes different. I was wondering about how good it was as well. It really is a good stock up price. Maybe good enough as an ingredient in something rather than as a stand alone item.

We had some HT center-cut bacon this weekend that tasted like they forgot to use salt. Really strange! We both checked the package labeling more than once, but it did not say low or no sodium. Has anyone else experienced this with HT bacon? I'm hesitant to buy their 4/$10 bacon this week, even though it's well below my stock-up price of $3/pack.
