I am shopped out after the last SD event. I still have a few items to purchase at HT and FL, however I am not putting much energy in it, if you know what I mean:) I am very thankful.

How could that not make sense, ddalmas?? LOL - Sorry about the confusion. I forgot to include that it is the russet potatoes that are $3.50 for the 5 lb bag. Thanks for catching my error. :-) I just updated the list above with the correct info.

  • Dr D Jul 17, 2013

This Produce entry in the list puzzles me:

HT Farmers Market, 5 lb, $3.50

    Must be the Russet Potatoes?

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jul 17, 2013

add-MY2centsi - I save seen them marked down $1 off at around 8 pm in the evenings at HT and then if they are not sold the next morning, I have found them with the $3 off sticker. They also had fried chicken $3 off this morning.

  • add-MY2cents Jul 17, 2013

When does HT mark down the rotisserie chickens?

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jul 17, 2013

jdouglas - you may want to check out the deal on deli turkey from Food Lion. It is actually cut at the deli and there is a $2 off $5 deli coupon from the printable coupons I posted in the FL thread. Makes it a good deal. I just won't be going to FL today and we needed some turkey.

  • jdouglas13 Jul 17, 2013

Never mind, I just saw the detail in your post on the turkey. Can I claim jet lag even though I didn't change any time zones? Glad I didn't ask about the baby spinach.... but I didn't only because I forgot. Time for a nap I guess lol.

  • jdouglas13 Jul 17, 2013

Faye, how much did the HT deli turkey weigh, and how much was it? We aren't fans of it, but we are always looking for a deal on cheap turkey to give the furkids their meds in. We usually end up with Land O'Frost on sale with a coupon.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jul 17, 2013

I was just at the Kings Grant HT (hwy 401 and 1010 road) and they still had a number of the $1.79 eye shadows. They were marked on sale for $1.79 and rang up correctly. They were out of the brow pencil but I got a raincheck.

My subtotal before sales and coupons today was $68.67

    I paid: $15.33 (77% savings)

My favorite buy today was a rotisserie chicken from the deli marked down $3 off and I had a $1 wine tag coupon making it $2.99 for the whole chicken - already cooked and ready to eat! Guess what we are having for dinner tonight instead of turkey roll ups?! lol

I also bought baby spinach, strawberries, mushrooms, 2 Kelloggs mini wheats crunch, Hellmans mayo, 2 covergirl eye shadows, 2 steamfresh, mccain potatoes, 2 HT deli turkey tubs BOGO, 2 Simply Lemonade with raincheck and coupons, 2 snickers ice cream bars.

FYI - They are out of the Kelloggs Cinnamon Jacks cereal (so I got a raincheck).

Just went though my email with the specials and sadly only put 4 things on my HT shopping list. Slim pickins' this week. Do you think this due to the Kroger sale or because we just came off of multiple SD weeks?
