I spoke with Lowes Foods PR today. If you have had an issue with LF customer service, please send me an e-mail to saving@smartspendingresources.com. Thanks!

I just copied and pasted the link to this thread into a "contact us" form on LF website.

I previously shopped at Lowe's Foods in Knightdale. TERRIBLE customer service! I now shop at the Lowe's Foods on Rowlock Way near Ebeneezer Church Rd. I've had both good and bad experiences. There is a young man that works in the meat department that is AWESOME! He's gone above and beyond and is always friendly! I really like him! I have also had a girl at the front customer service counter who is super friendly and very helpful! Those were both experiences during the day. When I go in the evening, I usually see the cranky manager, who always seems cranky, and always acts cranky, and doesn't seem genuine when he tells you to have a good evening. He also refuses to take competitor coupons because he says Earth Fare and CVS are not competitors. If that's the case, next time I'll buy my produce, organic products, medication, and toiletries from Earth Fare and CVS. I very rarely shop at Lowe's anymore.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is disappointed in the CS that LF seems to be giving lately. I used to shop at the LF on Capital, but during the last few SD I haven't even bothered going there since their CS is sub-par (not quite as bad as WM, but definitely no where as great as HT!!) and they seem to always be out of the good deals and don't restock during SD.

just makes me love my HT even more!

Maybe someone should direct someone HIGH up on the ladder at LF's to read this thread...post the location you've had trouble with...mine is Knightdale AND Brier Creek.

I know it can be free, But I got Franks hot/wing sauce today for .50 each with the recent coupons from the paper. Also, I got the Ballpark LEAN hotdogs for .67 a pack as they were the cheapest and with the .75 printable I thought I would give them a try.

  • jdouglas13 May 15, 7:35 p.m.

Juanita, I'm with you on Lowes. It's pretty rare that I shop there, and their customer service is sadly lacking. The one exception would be the store in Garner. They have a good staff and good service.

wildfrenchrose, re the parm, I usually buy a huge hunk of it (like 10 lbs), and then break it down into more managable chunks about the size of my fist or so. Good parm is crumbly, so it's hard to get an exact size/shape. I then double wrap it very well, mark & date it, and throw it in the freezer. It keeps really well for a long time, probably up to a year. I take a piece out of the freezer as I need it to grate fresh. Don't pre-grate your parm, because you will lose all the flavor.

Did anyone else not get their email from HT today? I didn't receive an email, and neither did my mother. I haven't checked with daughter yet to see if she received hers. I am wondering if it is isolated to our internet provider (mindspring/earthlink). Thanks.
