Harris Teeter deals: Tilapia, potatoes, tacos, soup & more!

Posted October 10, 2012

Harris Teeter has some great deals this week on Tilapia,Betty Crocker boxed potatoes (19 cents each!), Old El Paso taco shells (14 cents each!), Progresso soup, Mueller's pasta, Truvia, hair gel and more! There is also a new Kraft promotion making Planters peanut butter $1.60.

These deals are valid 10/10 - 10/16.

Harris Teeter Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 3 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price. The policy has recently changed and now states that you can only use two coupons on a BOGO deal. So, if you buy 2 items that are BOGO, you can use two coupons (which is a very good thing!).

Click HERE for the official Harris Teeter Coupon Policy.

Senior discount: Seniors 60 and older receive a 5% discount every Thursday. Discount applies after coupons are deducted.

e-coupons: Don’t forget to add the e-coupons to your Harris Teeter VIC card and remember, you can stack the e-coupons with manufacturer coupons to maximize savings. The link to your e-coupons are in your Wednesday e-Vic e-mail. Click HERE to sign up for e-Vic digital coupons.

Kraft Foods Promotion: Buy any 5 participating items for $8.00
Participating items include various Planters peanut butter, Triscuit, Wheat Thins, Kraft mac and cheese (looks like the Deluxe), salad dressing, Velveeta
Offer valid from 10/10/12 – 10/16/12 with your VIC card. All 5 participating items must be purchased in the same transaction. Limit 1 offer per transaction (you can do it multiple times during the week as long as you do separate transactions).
If you buy less than 5, each one rings up at $2
Total when you buy 5 = $1.60 each (a decent buy for the Planters peanut butter)

Thanks for the update, meredith - I am so glad they made it right!

jdouglas, there was a link for the Spooky Savings deals in my HT e-mail near the top.

  • meredith88 Oct 10, 2012

Faye and krissyz0908, my husband went back to HT tonight and the Customer Service lady was very nice and refunded cash for all the ZVRs that didn't come off (5 total).

My husband also asked her why it may not have worked. She said there are 2 main reasons the ZVRs don't work.

    1. If you load the evic coupons and then go straight to the store it may not have time to update in the system to reflect the recent coupons added. I added my coupons over 12 hours before I went to the store so I knew that wasn't the problem.

    2. The store system is not always in contact with the evic system (which is a corporate system) and some times they just aren't linked up (many times throughout the day for minutes each time). She says during these gaps in contact the register doesn't know there are any evic coupons loaded on the card. She says it happens often enough that they know to expect it multiple times a day but there is really no way to fix the glitch and they are always happy to correct it :)

  • Packy Oct 10, 2012

    wrong blog... sorry

going over to the share the deals and questions now.

  • Packy Oct 10, 2012

I'm going to run by CVS and pick up a couple of things but I just want to make sure on something...

If toothpast has Extrabucks and has a limit of 2... do I get the $2 Extrabucks for one of those or both? And if I will only get one $2 extrabucks should I split this up in 2 transactions to get 2 extrabucks?

AND If I'm buying two of the gillette razors, I need to do those in seperate transactions to get both of the extrabucks, correct?

    Clear as mud, huh?

There are some coupons to be had for the Simply Smart Chicken in the Meal Deal:

    $1/1 any variety

$1/1 any variety (Facebook - not sure if you can get both, but if you can, go for it!)

  • krissyz0908 Oct 10, 2012

My ZVR's have not come off he last two times that I have been to Harris Teeter. I have had to go to customer service and have them correct my balance.

  • Packy Oct 10, 2012

it's a good deal either wy...on the old el paso. Thanks. :)

I already have about 10 boxes of pastas but at this price I hate not to get more.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 10, 2012

Packy - you cannot use a manufacturer coupn from the paper with a printable manufacturers coupon. You can use one or the other but not both. You can couple the 1 manufacturer's coupon with an e-vic ZVR and a Savignstar coupon though. Sorry you could not get the old el paso savingstar.

Yes you can buy 9 boxes or Muellers and use 3 of the $1/3 coupons.

Meredith - let us know what they decide to do about the ZVR's that didn't come off.
