<b>WILLOW SPRINGS, N.C.</b> — A Harnett County man died in a head-on collision in southern Wake County Tuesday night.

State troopers said that Willie Junior Surles, 47, of Coats, died when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle along Old Stage Road, near Shellfish Drive. Surles wasn't wearing a seat belt.

There was no word on the condition of the other driver.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
