Faye, I'm thankful for you and your hard work here on the blog, every time I visit the grocery store and come out saving 50 - 75% on nearly every order. You've made a huge difference in the donations I'm able to make to local food charities. Thank you!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Faye! Because of all you do, we have saved thousands of dollars this year!!! This allows my daughter to be able to eat healthier and allow for neccessities as needed!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone else. I enjoy reading your ideas, suggestions and experiences!! We make an excellent online communtiy!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope everyone has a safe, happy and delicious Thanksgiving Day with their loved ones.

heremeaj-not sure how you would do this (the one I had was store bought), but I have had a roll of goat cheese that had blueberries rolled onto the outside and it was delicious. Not sure if there was anything mixed into the actual log of goat cheese, or it was just plain, though...

Faye, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am so thankful to you and all the others on here that have quite literally helped to save our family hundreds of dollars through this blog. It has meant so much to be able to donate, last minute of course because kids never tell you in time, to my daughter's class food bank. YOU are the reason so many of us are able to donate like we can and YOU are bestowing your gifts onto us. We all appreciate you more than we can ever convey.

Best wishes to all for a wonderful Thanksgiving! Faye, thanks for all you do and your friendship here on the blog. I am so glad to hear you have a day off! Enjoy and relax. :)

Heremeaj, I am not a fan of goat cheese, but back in the day we used to make cheese b*lls (really censor?)that we rolled in herbs, nuts, dried cranberries, etc. If it is just sitting by itself on a plate, it's not going to look too interesting. Maybe you can create more of a platter effect with the log of cheese sliced and slightly fanned out, a little pile of stuffed green olives, some slices of salami (try Boars Head D'Oro dry salami - you'll only need like 1/4 lb), and maybe some small carrot and celery sticks. Not to expensive, and it will look pretty and appetizing.

Does anyone know of something I can do to a roll of goat cheese to dress it up? I think the idea is to slice it and serve w cra kers - any suggestions?

your day off that is...

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your day of Faye.

I agree heremeaj. I am very impressed at all the great ideas and will be borrowing a few to use myself. Happy Thanksgiving!

I have just read the entire thread of the Joy blog and am amazed at all the creative ways people find to be encouraging and supportive of others.
