— An Enfield man wanted on bigamy charges has turned himself in, Halifax County sheriff's deputies said Tuesday.

Investigators said Tony Fitzgerald Hilliard, 50, was married in 1989 but never divorced his first wife before marrying a second and third time. He is facing two counts of bigamy.

Both wives should absolutely divorce him. This man is not trust worthy at all.

I am curious if you have any links to back up that claim. Not that I am doubting it, just never seen any information regarding it before.

It'd be nice to hear from the wives. Evidently someone was harmed and turned him in - or the state found the multiple marriages.

Bigamy is illegal for very sound reasons that, in a nutshell, end in harmed women (psychologically) and children (education development and behavioral problems).

One of the wives got mad and told. I have a hard time thinking with all the crime today...law enforcement is hunting down bigamy. This isnt Utah.
