Halifax man charged with indecent liberties with a minor
A 35-year-old Halifax County man has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a minor.

A Halifax resident accused Curtis Williams Jr. with fondling a minor, according to the sheriff's office.
He was placed in the Halifax County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond. His first court date was set for Sept. 14.
State Department of Correction records show that Williams was on probation stemming from two June convictions for driving while impaired. DOC records show his criminal record dates to 1995 and also includes convictions for assault inflicting serious injury, breaking-and-entering and obtaining property by false pretenses.
