Halifax County deputies seek shooting suspect

Halifax County deputies are looking for Frederick Lee Holiday, who they say shot a man in the leg on Jan. 5, 2014.

— Halifax County deputies are looking for someone they say shot a man in the leg on Sunday.

After an altercation, the victim asked Frederick Lee Holiday to leave his Roanoke Rapids residence, deputies said. Holiday left the home, returned, kicked in the rear door and shot the victim, deputies said. Holiday then fled on foot.

The victim was listed in fair condition Tuesday morning.

Deputies ask for anyone with information regarding Holiday's whereabouts to contact the Halifax County Sheriff's Office or Halifax County Crime Stoppers.

    I cannot think of a reason to shoot someone over an argument. Please let me know what was said that was so bad that going to jail is worth it. Maybe I am just not reacting reasonably when people say stupid things around me.
