DURHAM, N.C. — More thunderstorms and hail is possible overnight Thursday and into Friday morning as a second wave of storms pass through central North Carolina.

"Certainly be aware, the morning rush hour could be wet," WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel said.

The chance of rain drops throughout the day, but cloud cover could hold temperatures below 60 degrees.
"We're not talking about thunder and lightning," Fishel said. "This is just a chance for light rain."
Similar conditions will extend through the weekend. Each day will start with sunny skies, then low-level cumulus clouds through the afternoon that could bring brief showers.

"Don't let this wreck your weekend," Fishel said. "If you figure we've got about 13 hours of daylight at this time of year, a 15-minute shower means you have 12 hours and 45 minutes to enjoy the outdoors."

Saturday and Sunday will be brighter and warmer than the preceding days. Saturday's high should edge above 70 degrees and Sunday could see temperatures near 80.
