Guess what I paid for $75 worth at Super Doubles?

Posted February 2

Faye's Harris Teeter Super Doubles deals 2-1-16

I finally made it to the Harris Teeter Super Doubles sale today and WOW - there were some great deals!

Can you guess what I paid for the groceries in the picture?

Here's the breakdown:

Total before sales and coupon: $75.18

Total saved: $74.72

Total paid: .46

I saved 99%!

I also got a 12-pack of Fresca (my favorite soda since I was a kid) using one of my free Coke coupons from a recent MyCokeRewards.com offer that I forgot to include in the photo.

I used a manufacturer coupon for each item, a BOGO raincheck for the Finish dishwasher tabs and a $2.50 CVS Extrabucks reward as a competitor coupon.

I actually had a negative balance of 1 penny so I had to buy a candy bar to get into the positive. Don't tell the kids, but I hid it away for a "break chocolate in case of emergency" kind of day.

Now I am looking forward to shopping on Tuesday!

Click the links above to see the Super Doubles deals list with all the coupons I used for this trips. You can also see the brag thread where everyone else is sharing their Super Doubles totals.

Thank you Harris Teeter!

    jdouglas13 - what a neat memory!

I shopped at HT this morning and they had decent stock. I got everything I wanted except the taquitos and I got a rain check for those. They will still be free after the $2/1 coupons and the HT digital coupon, even after super doubles. Total before coupons was $89.85 and total after coupons was $20.39. Saved $69.46 (77%) including 2 Egglands' Best eggs, mushrooms, chicken, veggie burgers and all the coupon items. I can live with that. :-)

Fresca... wow I remember MANY years ago being a little kid, Friday night grocery shopping with my Nana, sampling Fresca. It was so tart, but I loved it too.

Great job on your SD trip!

kathryn21 - I totally agree! I also got a 12-pack of Fresca using one of my free Coke coupons from MyCokeRewards.com that I forgot to include in the photo so that upped the products by another $6 retail. I need to add that to the post.

madevita87 - great job on your totals! I am hoping to get to HT today for a final trip.

raesmom1612 - I'd say you have a pretty valid reason not to be shopping. New babies always win over the grocery store. :-)

    larindap3 - thanks!

Great job! But it blows my mind that those few items cost $75!!! I hate it when I spend that much and it fits in 3 bags!

Great job! I am so glad we had this SD event! I spend $35 and saved $103. The husband was very happy about the laundry detergent and the frozen food I got :)
