I wrote about The Prom Shoppe a few weeks ago. There's another opportunity for girls, who may not otherwise have an opportunity to get a dress for their prom, to find one.

Growing Child Pediatrics is hosting a Picture Perfect Prom event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 24. More than 100 gently used prom and formal dresses in a variety of sizes will be given away at the practice's Wake Forest location, 11130 Capital Blvd., in Wake Forest.

Event organizers, nurse practitioner Mandy Johnson and Dr. Joanne Wagner, have been collecting donated dresses at Growing Child's seven locations in the Triangle. The public is welcome to attend the event. Light refreshments will be served as the girls select their dresses.

For detail, call Johnson at 919-414-1022 or visit Growing Child's website.
