Ground beef, frozen chicken meals recalled
The United States Department of Agriculture warned consumers Wednesday of two recalls that could affect North Carolina.
Posted — UpdatedNational Beef Packaging Company, of Liberal, Kan., is recalling more than 50,000 pounds of ground beef products that might be contaminated with e. Coli.
The products were produced July 18 and sent to retailers, wholesalers and food service distributors nationwide. The affected packages have the establishment number "EST. 208A" inside the USDA inspection mark.
Traditions, of Pearl, Miss., is recalling nearly 2,500 pounds of frozen chicken meals because they failed to include milk, a known allergen, on the label.
The "Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast Filet with Rib Meat Smoke Flavor Added/Mixed Vegetables/Basil and Garlic Fettucine" with the establishment number "P-13850" are affected.
The meals were also distributed nationwide.
