Grinch steals inflatable Grinch from Fayetteville business

Fayetteville, N.C. — He might be as cuddly as a cactus and as charming as a an eel, but a Fayetteville business desperately wants their Mr. Grinch back.
Thieves made off late Tuesday or early Wednesday with an 8-foot-tall inflatable Grinch and his dog, Max, that was outside the Residential Group, a real estate company on Roxie Avenue.
Company officials said they found the ties that held him in place severed on the ground when they arrived for work Wednesday.
"I don't know who would be so anti-Christmas to steal our Grinch," Sherril Watkins said.
"They need to bring him back because the Grinch is always good in the end. He turns into a nice guy, so please be nice and bring him back," Sue Jones said.
The inflated Grinch was worth about $100, they said.
Another Grinch and Max disappeared from outside the business in 2005 and were never returned. A story by WRAL News inspired someone in Raleigh to offer a replacement.
