Greenville man faces child sex assault charges

— Wayne County sheriff's investigators have arrested a Greenville man on two charges of first-degree sexual offense, authorities said Monday.

Gregory Michael Entzminger, 25, of 107 Greenwood Drive, was charged Friday after investigators received a report of a sexual assault involving a 4-year-old boy who lives in Wayne County.

Entzminger, who investigators said is a family friend of the boy, was in the Wayne County jail under a $500,000 secured bond Monday.

    So often in child abuse cases the offender is someone the child knows and perhaps a friend of the family or caregiver. Parents and other family members should closely monitor the child's whereabouts at all times, who he/she is spending time with and encourage dialogue re: activities the child is engaging in. And, when a child reports unusual or suspicious behavior, they should be heard and not ignored.

    Perhaps this guy was himself used sexually at such a young age? Criminal punishment for crimes of passion don't seem to fit...something beyond separating them from public what else could be done?

    what is up with all these sick people and young children. This is sad and ridiculous. These poor kids are scarred for life. How do you think they'll act when they are older. Hopefully they can put it behind em but its difficult and especially when they start dating.
