Greenville man arrested in two shootings

— Timothy Monta Moore, of 3003 Apt. 9 Caldwell Court in Greenville, was arrested Wednesday evening for a shooting on Chestnut Street.

According to police, Moore was involved in a confrontation with Lenny Phillips, 43. Moore pulled a gun and shot Phillips, they said.

He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury and shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Phillips' condition was not immediately available.

Moore was being held on $2,000 bond.

    Unfortunately, Magistrates are limited to the amount of bond that can be posted based on the level of felony committed, in accordance with scheduling guidelines. Don't like it, write the judiciary legislators who make the laws.

    Assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill? $2,000 is an outrage. This person just got a lite slap on the wrist and will eventually kill somebody.

    $2,000 bond. I seriously hope this is a typo. WRAL is it?? If not, I will be in bomb shelter for the next 6 months....
