Greenville hotel robbery suspects surrender to police
Greenville police are searching for two men named as suspects in the armed robbery of the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel, on Memorial Drive, earlier this month.

Marquail Earl Mouring, 21, and James Earl Carney, 20, face one count each of armed robbery.
Investigators said that a man wearing a baggy jacket and covering his face entered the hotel at 8:23 p.m. on Nov. 11. He pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanded money and then fled on foot, with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Carney called police to arrange his surrender, and Mouring came to the magistrate's office to surrender, police said. Both men were taken into custody without incident.
They were placed in the Pitt County jail under separate $25,000 secured bonds.
Mouring was placed on probation in August for a larceny conviction, according to state Department of Correction records. He also has 2006 convictions for simple assault and disturbing a student at school.
