GREENVILLE, N.C. — A Greenville physician and his son are in jail after the State Bureau of Investigation raided their home as well as the doctor's office.
A statement from the SBI on Friday said agents served warrants at the home of 59-year-old Dr. Clinton Leinweber Jr., who's charged with three counts of trafficking opium or heroin. The agency said the charges resulted from fraudulent prescriptions that he prescribed.
Leinweber worked at the Leo Jenkins Cancer Center in Greenville.
In addition, 27-year-old Gregory Leinweber was charged with six counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after agents found child pornography on his computer.
The elder Leinweber is jailed on a $4.5 million bond, while his son is being held on a $150,000 bond. It's not known if they have attorneys.
