Greensboro doctor accused of soliciting teen for sex in Fayetteville
Cumberland County sheriff's detectives arrested a Greensboro doctor Tuesday in a grocery store parking lot in Fayetteville, where he planned to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex, according to authorities.

Vijaya-Prakash Boggala, 31, of 42 Ackland Drive, is charged with soliciting a child by computer to commit unlawful sex acts. He is an internist at Moses Cone Hospital, according to the sheriff's office.
Investigators say Boggala had been talking with a person on the Internet, whom he believed was a 14-year-old girl. Instead, the person was an undercover officer with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department.
Boggala, who was wearing his hospital scrubs, drove his 1995 Toyota Camry from Greensboro to the parking lot off Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville "to allegedly engage in sexual relations with the girl," according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies took him to the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he was held under a $75,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the detention center courtroom.
Cone Health released a statement Tuesday, confirming that the doctor is a third-year medical resident and that he has been placed on administrative leave.
"Boggala sees adults in the Internal Medicine residency program," according to the statement. "Cone Health is unable to comment further on pending legal action."
