Great turkey deals this week!

Turkey

There are some fantastic turkey sales going on this week including many at .47/lb! Read on for the list of deals. For those deals that require a minimum purchase, the minimum is usually after sale prices but before coupons.  Make sure you check with your specific store, though, so you know how they are handling the minimum.

Harris Teeter:

Harris Teeter premium turkey, grade A, .47/lb with additional $40 purchase – good price if you are already going to shop there, limit 1

FYI - The printed ad in stores indicates it is 10 - 14 lb turkeys at HT that qualify for the deal but the online Weekly Sales listing at HarrisTeeter.com indicates that 10 - 24 lb turkeys are included. So they either have a typo in the printed ad that is in stores or the online sales listing is incorrect. I would imagine they will honor the price for up to 24 lbs since it is on their website.

Lowes Foods:

House of Raeford turkeys, frozen hen or tom, 12 – 24 lb avg weight, .47/lb with additional $35 additional purchase. Limit 1 per household.

Butterball frozen turkey, 12 lb – 24 lb, .97/lb
There is a coupon from the Smart Shopper coupons link above recently for $3 off of a Butterball whole fresh or frozen turkey when you buy 4 Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls, Green Giant canned vegetables, Betty Crocker stuffing or boxed potatoes or you can print a $1 Butterball printable coupon from their Facebook page

Best Price Guarantee: Lowes Foods will match any supermarket price on Garade A frozen turkeys with the same price on their House of Raeford turkey. Offer excludes Butterball and fresh turkey. See store for details.

Food Lion:

Frozen turkey, Grade A, .47/lb with additional $35 purchase

Butterball frozen turkey, 10 lbs and up, $1.19/lb
There is a coupon from the Smart Shopper coupons link above recently for $3 off of a Butterball whole fresh or frozen turkey when you buy 4 Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls, Green Giant canned vegetables, Betty Crocker stuffing or boxed potatoes or you can print a $1 Butterball printable coupon from their Facebook page

Kroger:

Honeysuckle turkey or Kroger turkey, whole frozen, .79/lb with $35 additional purchase. Price valid through Thanksgiving Day.

Target:

Market Pantry frozen turkey, 10 - 24 lb, .79/lb, limit 2, no rainchecks

Butterball turkey, .99/lb with additional $25 purchase
There is a coupon from Smart Shopper coupons link above recently for $3 off of a Butterball whole fresh or frozen turkey when you buy 4 Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls, Green Giant canned vegetables, Betty Crocker stuffing or boxed potatoes or $1 coupon from their Facebook page

At Food Lion today, I got a coupon for 2.50 off 25.00 oyno at checkout and so did everyone else in line. Good for Lowes or HT as competitor coupons as well :)

Good call, TopCopWife. Happy Almost Thanksgiving! :-)

  • TopCopWife Nov 14, 2013

Faye thanks for your input... I will be heading out to buy my Turkey this week............

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Nov 14, 2013

TopCop - I do not have the ads for the coming weeks yet, BUT I would guess that this is the lowest they will go this year. .47/lb is a very good price.

Last year, the best prices were also .47/lb. They were that price for both Lowes Foods and Food Lion during this same week in 2012. Kroger had it for .47/lb starting 11/18/12 as well.

As I recall, they have not been that low since last year. This is usually the best week of the year to buy a whole frozen turkey.

I can remember when the sale price for turkeys was $ .29 lb I think the .47 per lbs. is the going price this year!!

  • TopCopWife Nov 14, 2013

Faye is this usually the lowest it will go? I just don't want to buy this week and next week it be cheaper.......Thanks

    Thanks, lwillis!

Just updated above to add Target Market Pantry turkey for .79/lb with no additional purchase needed.

Piggly Wiggly has 10-24 lb. House of Raeford turkeys for .89/lb with no additional purchase required.

alwaysab - did you get my e-mail about the coupons you won??

And we are seeing sweet potatoes for .89/lb alot lately. Maybe next weeks sales will be better.

FYI - last year on this same week, Lowes Foods had sweet taters for .27/lb and Harris Teeter had them for .50/lb so I am guessing next week they will be on sale for a reasonable price....I hope. If I don't make a baked sweet potato pie with pecan/coconut topping, my husband may revolt. :-)

This isn't really the place, but who has the best sweet potato prices this season? I haven't seenany prices for them lately and they are a must have for Thanksgiving.
