Great Old El Paso deal at Harris Teeter this week!

In my family, we love tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas and soft tacos. When I can buy packages of tortillas for less than .50 each, it's time to stock up!

If you like tortillas like we do, you won't want to miss the Old El Paso deal at Harris Teeter this week!

Promotion: Buy $10 of participating Old El Paso products in one shopping visit, save $4 off your grocery bill at the register! Limit 1 per household. Valid 1/9 - 1/15.

There are a number of Old El Paso products on sale including:

Old El Paso seasoning Mixes for .75

Old El Paso Chiles for $1.00

Old El Paso Tortillas, taco shells, heat and serve side dishes and refried beans for $1.25 each

Old El Paso Dinner Kits and taco sauce for $2.00

Coupon: .60/3 printable coupon from the Smart Shopper Coupons link in the box above

Scenario: Buy 8 of the $1.25 products (tortillas, taco shells, refried beans) and use 2 of the .60/3 coupons. The total at the register after the 2 coupons and the $4 promotional discount is deducted comes off is $3.60 = .45 per item (a super buy for tortillas)!

I bought 6 bags of flour tortillas and 2 boxes of tacos. The tortillas freeze well, but they don't expire for many months so we have plenty of time to use them.

You can see more information about this promotion on the Harris Teeter website.

Awesome!! Thanks for the heads up.

Faye, I make my own taco seasoning! Lots of recipes on line, it keeps forever and is way better than a package and lots cheaper! Thanks for pointing out the awesome deals on this mexican food! We love it too and this is awesome!

Plus if you buy 8, you get a $4 certificate for your school -- if you don't need the certificate, we would love it!

Faye, When you say stock up on tortillas...do you freeze them? How long do they last?

I have2 or 3 packs of tortillas right now in my freezer. I'm not sure how long they last...months I suppose bc I've never had a problem with them after being a frozen a while.

Now I am craving enchiladas.

Watchhillgirl - the date on the packages I just bought is September so I am not even going to freeze these because we will use them long before then. In the past, I have frozen flour tortillas for 4 months in their original packages with no issues.

I might be missing it (because my eyes play tricks on me all the time) but I don't see the link to the .60/3 coupon?? I'm probably missing it :)

ooh, I am so excited about this. I wanted tacos last night and had everything but the tortillas! I have never tried freezing them though, which is amazing because I love having things stocked up in the freezer. Thanks for the idea, Faye!

And I am with quemaster on making your own taco seasoning. I have been doing it for year and it is much better than the packaged stuff. Plus you can control how spicy you want it (hubby and I like it hot, but we make a separate batch for our little one) and how much salt is in it. And it's made with spices I always have on hand that I usually buy in bulk. I also make my own pumpkin pie spice, too.

I was only allowed 1 print on the .60/3 coupon. Is it available under another zip code?
