Posted November 8, 2013

— A Clayton woman has been charged with being drunk when she went to pick up her grandchildren from school, authorities said.

Susan Eason Kepley, 57, was charged with driving while impaired.

Doesn't the school system have the right to ban her from any school property?

November 8, 2013 4:42 p.m.... I don't think the article said she had picked up the kids. Might want to reread the article.

"If she is a long-time alcoholic, she could register that high and still maintain some degree of control over herself. You'd be surprised at the tolerance of some."

This is most likely what happened here.

And yes, alcoholics do have a higher tolerance but it still affects their reflexes and their judgement. Their metabolism is usually messed up due to impaired liver function.

wonder what diana123 bac level is....sorry that was wrong. .37, or .08 is so wrong with kids in the car. They are the innocents and should always be treated as so. Seeing this woman's priors, no laws were going to stop her, unless she was caught. Thankfully, she was. .37 is going to the hospital time. I can only imagine how she was driving. Horrible, the title Grandma should be stripped from her. Poor children.

My question is why was she not arrested.Just wonder how many times she going to school or anywhere while she was driving with alcohol in her system. With her grandchildren with her.You would though the daughter or son would know she was drinks. With there children in the car. I would not trust her to be in her right mind with alcohol in her system.

"Oh no, think about the children... because of this, we should lower the blood alcohol content limit for a DUI with a kid in the car to .04 because of the children"

    Even better, how about 0.0?

"they charged this woman but she was not arrested. the alchohol content was .37 not .08." - diana123

I'm confused... do you think .37 is less than .08?

That's the big time ... world class pro level.
