Grain mostly lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO — Grain futures were mostly lower Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Dec. fell 5.75 cents to 3.9575 a bushel; Dec. corn was off 1.50 cents to 3.4925 a bushel; Dec. oats was lost 7.75 cents at $2.09 a bushel; while Jan. soybeans gained 11.75 cents to $10.46 a bushel.
Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. December live cattle was up 1.08 cents at $1.1075 a pound; January feeder cattle was rose 2.32 cents to $1.2722 a pound; while December lean hogs gained 1.30 cents at $.5105 a pound.
