Grain mostly lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO — Grain futures were mostly lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Sept. fell 8.50 cents at $3.87475a bushel; Sept. corn lost 10 cents to 3.1925 a bushel; Sept. oats was up 1.75 cents at $1.6375 a bushel; while Sept. soybeans declined 16.25 cents to $9.6825 a bushel.
Beef and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. October live cattle was off 1.03 cents at $1.0467 a pound; September feeder cattle fell 1.55 cents to $1.3337 a pound; while October lean hogs lost 2.67 cents at $.5675 a pound.
