RALEIGH, N.C. — As the weather gets colder and the holidays approach, there are several opportunities to hit the ice.
The Ice Factory at American Tobacco Campus in Durham opens on Friday and operates through Jan. 19. It is the largest outdoor covered ice rink in the area. It is located on the north end of ATC adjacent to Burt's Bees. Admission is $10 and includes skate rental.
Ipreo Raleigh Winterfest will once again offer visitors a chance to skate in downtown Raleigh's City Plaza. It opens Friday, Nov. 22, and stays open through Feb. 1. Admission is $9 and includes skate rental.
You can skate year-round at indoor locations like the Polar Ice House, which has locations in Cary, Garner and Wake ForestRaleigh Iceplex and Triangle Sportsplex in Hillsborough.
