Governor offers rewards in two cold cases
Gov. Pat McCrory announced $5,000 rewards Tuesday for information that helps to solve two different cold cases.

The first case is from 2006 in Roanoke Rapids. Around the time that Shonda Renee Stansbury disappeared, a person called 911 to report seeing a bloody woman running from two men. She has not been seen since.
The other case is even older, but investigators have new clues.
A woman, kidnapped and raped in 1992, told police she was finishing work at an office at the Lafayette Memorial Park cemetery on Ramsey Street when she was attacked by three men outside the building.
Recently, DNA evidence was discovered that could help break that case, but police need help identifying the source.
McCrory did not say why he chose to emphasize these two cases.
