Goodnight's Comedy Club will host a family-friendly comedy and magic show next week to benefit Free the Children's Adopt a Village Program,

The fundraiser is part of Evolve Movement's year-long effort to raise money and awareness for people in need in the community and overseas. I wrote earlier about a yard sale that the studio, near Cameron Village in Raleigh, held to raise money for the international charity.

The show features comedian Gary Shelton, who has performed for a variety of corporations and charities, including Make-A-Wish Foundation, Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Classic and Dollywood Country Jamboree. It's 7 p.m., Oct. 24. Tickets are $10. All proceeds will go to Free the Children's Adopt a Village Program. Every child at the show will get a free balloon animal.

Evolve Movement focuses on Pilates, yoga and Gyrotonic disciplines. It plans a food drive this month, a giving tree in November and December and a coat drive in January. As part of each project, children are actively helping with the plans and events.
