Good Samaritan restores stolen items to Cumberland home
A Good Samaritan has stepped up to help a 13-year-old Cumberland County boy who was robbed at gunpoint in his father's home earlier this week.
Posted — UpdatedThe woman, who asked to remain anonymous, pledged to replace the gaming systems and television taken from Aaron Patton Jr.
Patton told police that he was napping on the couch when a masked man dressed in black kicked in the door of his Burbank Street home, walked into the living room and pointed a gun at his head.
The teen said the robber forced him to put his Wii U and PlayStation 3 into a bag, grabbed a television and fled in a light grey or silver Honda.
A woman who saw his story said she ordered the same items online and plans to deliver them to Patton next week.
"It made me feel real good to know that there are still some nice people out there that would do something like that," Patton's father, Aaron Patton Sr., said Friday.
"You hear stuff like that, but you never think something like that would happen to you, that somebody would want to help you out like that."
