Good news, trick-or-treaters: Halloween weather should be ideal
Trick-or-treaters are in luck, because forecasts show that skies will be clear and temperatures will be mild Monday evening.
Posted — UpdatedHighs will peak in the upper 60s Monday and hover only a few degrees lower as the sun sets and as trick-or-treating begins.
That means most Halloween costumes won't need to be covered with jackets, and even heavy costumes shouldn't make trick-or-treaters too warm.
"A dry cold front passing through early today should prevent the kind of heat we saw on Sunday," said WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss.
Skies will be between mostly sunny and partly cloudy Monday, and rain is not expected to be a problem.
It will be even cooler Tuesday before temperatures rise into the 80s again on Wednesday and Thursday.
