Liver is a great bait. The preparation however is different. In order to hold the bait (liver) on the hook use a treble hook and put on the liver. Then wrap this whole thing in a small piece of panty hose and tie a string around the panty. You can use this on a trot line or rig it up to a gallon jug with a lid on it. When you set trot lines or rigs with jugs you must put your name and address on each jug and on your trot line. It is required that these things be checked at least once a day. That trot line can have no more than fifty hooks one it.
This will get you a bunch of cats.
