My fav holiday is coming up - Thanksgiving! I have hosted since 1995 now, I cook for about 40. I remember the first time, I was 21, and so scared! I used stove top stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes (boxes and boxes)
Now I use my gramma's recipes and do it all from scratch. Can't wait

I understand.
I usually try to motivate people with lists of ideas...like ask people what they think are good ideas for doing something. Then if someone wants to share something the did, it takes on a different note.

Jacob's bithday is May 2nd. I've struggled from May through July every year since their deaths. This year, on May 2nd, Robin's sister (Gwen) called me. Gwen has always sent me emails on Jacob's birthday. I had a lot of anger and resentment because of the accident. It was easy to blame Robin. While talking to Gwen, I just broke down. We cried together on the phone. I never considered anyone's elses feeling other than my own. Gwen and her family lost just as much as I did. Their mother, Elaine, was killed in September of 2003. It's so hard to see when you're angry and resentful. I asked Gwen to forgive me. I told her that I forgive Robin. That's all it took to lighten the burden I've been carrying for six long years.
Last night, I did cry. Watching the Michael Jackson stuff on the evening news set it off. LOL. Not that I was a fan, it was because of seeing his family and friends. Knowing how they were grieving. It touched me.
