I have studied up on Oriole history my whole life - although not as much since I started college. I would have loved to be able to see the guys from the 60's and 70's play - especially Frank Robinson. In hindsight, he seems to be more of a "baseball" legend than an Oriole or Red legend. Palmer would have been really cool too. And I'd give anything to have seen Weaver in his prime - although from the looks of it Pinella in the 90's was pretty close!
As far as this year's team goes, you're right - Adam Jones is a future All Star. I think we have a solid young nucleus of hitters, now it is just a matter of bringing in some good young pitching.

My O's need a win tonight against Texas to split that series. Has anyone else looked ahead at their teams schedule? I don't know if Baltimore is getting dumped on because the are a bottom feeder or if it is just a scheduling quirk, but we have three different two-game series in the next two weeks. Has anyone else seen this?

Skywatch - sorry about your Reds. They have a lot of good young players just starting to come into their own from what I understand. Since you are a NL Central fan, what in the world is the deal with the Pirates? Also, you have to know the Cubs will be back to form soon.
Does anyone with Time Warner Cable watch the MLB channel? 268 in HD I think. It's actually pretty cool, they broadcast portions of different games while the studio crew discusses what is happening. Kind of like if Baseball Tonight were able to check in and show live games. The broadcast also answers the question of what happened to Harold Reynolds.

Anyway, that's just how I feel about it. I think it is a really fun place to spend an evening with family and friends. And for what it's worth I've taken several friends who would not consider themselves baseball fans, but all have come away having enjoyed the evening.
