I am a young American seeking discourse. I believe in knowledge and its power. But more importantly I believe in love and its power, I believe peace, not slander, hatespeak, or hostility, passes understanding. Therefore, I believe in the tradition of republic. I believe in rights for all and the freedom to stand, or sit down and shut up, for the rights of others. I believe in the common good achieved through mutual agreement after discourse.
