And a little of my personal MS story:
about ms sucks
Multiple sclerosis (or MS) is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another.
Although there has been much terrific research and advances in the treatment of this unpredictable disease, there still is NO CURE and unlike many other diseases there is nothing a person can do differently in their life to prevent having it.
This group is basically here for folks to listen and or talk about Multiple Sclerosis and its affects on those that have it and their families. Also it is a chance to learn about the disease and inform others of fundraising and/or learning seminars. Just a place to sound off, learn and fight this crippling disease!
