This group is for those of us who are chronic procrastinators. Do you tend to put things off; either for as long as possible, or "permanently?" Procrastination is a type of behavior which is characterized by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. Psychologists often cite procrastination as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision.
I have procrastinated about starting this group for several weeks now. Why have I put it off? I have no idea. Just as I have no idea what makes me a chronic procrastinator. Do you have any tips you could share on how to help overcome this terrible habit? Please also share what you tend to procrastinate about and why.
Here is one topic that I procrastinate virtually every single night on: Showering! I will remove my makeup and plan on taking a shower. I only get as far as the "thought." 30 minutes later, I think about it again. I need to take a shower. 30 minutes later, I think about it again, yet end up putting it off. Next thing I know, it's sometimes two hours later, that I finally take a shower! (I take showers at night). Embarrassing to share? Yes! Necessary to share? Yes! I am going to go (hopefully) take a shower now!!!!

Chronic procrastination and adult ADD.........Hmmmmm. Never thought of that, but I guess it could be linked. Interesting thought. You never know.

Thick and long hair. Sounds like you were blessed with a nice head of hair. Seriously! My hair is medium length and straight, for the most part. I wish my hair was 2 feet longer, then again, I'm only 5'1" and if my hair was 2' longer, I might be mistaken for Cousin It! LOL!
