Actually, my husband has been looking for a new job lately, and all of the positions seem to be nearing the coast!! :)

That's a great idea momof3inNC. That just might have to go on my list of thing s to do on our next trip to a beach. My husband liked our last trip to the beach so much that his new goal in life is to retire at the beach.

On a recent trip to the beach my daughter and I got alot of seashells. My idea was to make a picture frame out of the shells. My sister who was with us, decided to buy(at the local beach shop & they were very cheap) us some small seashells that were painted many different colors. I bought a cheap wooden frame from wal-mart and put on a few of our big shells that we found on the beach, surrounded by all the little colorful ones. I glued them all on with a hot glue gun & wala! Beautiful home-made frame to remember our summer vacation!

my son recycles his climbing ropes by making rugs out of them...they are cute...i will have to post a pic on profile....each rug costs me a new climbing rope lol

the funny thing is the workers will be on their feet in terrible weather..rain shine..snow....but little totos...are only allowed to work for a couple of hours...all the kids petting them and all....wears them out. and you should see the totos...this year i think i will just do a toto album...what always amazes me..if no matter the weather..no matter all the mishaps...the fussing...when the gates open..everyone is all about making it a good experience for the kids....they have great face painting where the kids can get their faces painted like characters...and have little props...the tin man get a hat...and a heart medal...the flying monkeys get wings..dorothy gets her hand braided with ghingham ribbons and a small basket with a toto in it....so it really is still all about the kids

hmm the colors should not fade....even in reds....o oz is a blast...i have worked there for the last few years...not in the talented department in the other departments. i am always amazed at the people who show up from all over the east coast...to perform at oz. it takes over an hour for the tin man to get into custome...i mean literally pulling that stuff on...one year two tween ager girls spotted the strawcrow..yelled we love you scarecrow..while running towards him..both jumped up around his waist....he managed to stand.... dont think the young ladies had any clue they nearly killed the scarecrow that year...and i had 3 or 4 little girls sing ding dang the witch is dead to me for over an hour.... i love taking pics when the costumed people are relaxing....but i get threatened....glenda doesnt want her pic on the net feeding her face lol...they dont have long to eat and have to fork it down fast lol

Bones ... I am truly impressed girl, I love those. I have one piece given to me as a gift one year. It is a suncatcher of a pair of cardinals. Although the colors have faded I refuse to take it out of my window. I still would love to know more.
