Keep your chin up and know that you are appreciated and prayed for. I see the blogs you post and they make sense. Unfortunately, I am beginning to think common sense is a thing of the past in this country with too dayum many. They want to sit on the sidelines and beech and moan yet don't have the guts to stand up and fight for any darn thing. I hear ya' on Iraq and Afghanistan - my nephew finished his 4th tour in Afghanistan a couple months ago (He is special forces, GB) and he is pretty disgusted with things over there. He lost a good friend there. At one point we had a lot more control, then we got politcally correct and kissed it goodbye. Now we are left with a mess. First thing we need to do is determine if this administration WANTS to accomplish anything, and then IF SO, get the dayum media OUT of the war zones and fight to win. I know you know what I mean.
Thanks for doing a really tough job. You and the other troops stay in my prayers.

My sister (GB nephew's Mom) was US Nat Guard when I was in US Air Force, she spent 8 mos in Kuwait / Saudi. She died 2 yrs later from "exposure to toxins" from there. I got a real beef with those countries and it irks me to no end that people can be so stupid about their barbarianism. USA is supposed to play by the "rules". F the rules, it is time to show power.

In Vietnam, we would take a village or town and then move out. The VC would move in as soon as we left and anyone who cooperated with us was executed.
It seems like the same sort of thing is happening now. We don't have the troops to hold the towns, so the Taliban are moving in.
I'm less concerned about the countryside. You're right - if we can push them out of the towns and into the open, we can kill them. Right now, they are surrounded by civilians which makes it much more difficult.
They're like roaches - we need to smoke them out and stomp them.

It's worth preventing the next - and far worse - 9/11.
We did nothing for a decade and 3,000 civilians died for it.
We need to do it now and do it right. If we don't, sooner or later we'll be back in there again and it will be even harder to win.

I bet she knows it too!!!! All is good here. My fiancee just about has my house painted, new carpet is going in today..... looks like its going to be ready to rent out by Dec 1st :)
NOW its trying to find someone, we are going through a rental company, figure our chances are better then just having anyone off the streets.

This entire ordeal has been on the back burner (getting my house ready) but friday the fella is coming over to view the house and see what kind of rental agreement we can come up with

I am in a pretty good area (apx 20 miles SE of Raleigh) and VERY close to the new 70 bypass so thats a plus.
AND its a small subdiv, no HOA's and my house is a house away from the dead end. 1 acre property (partially wooded w/a creek) 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, cathedral ceilings.... its a cute home. I just HOPE to find someone trustworthy to rent it out.
I think a LOT of people are renting now. I am SURE once your home y'all will do the right thing.
Thanks for the luck ! I had seen another Golo member rent its house out to another Golo member and THAT member totally trashed the place and wrote back checks. Again from what I read on here. Just cant trust ANYONE these days!
