For those about to rock we salute you!

I thought we could rank our top five bass players in rock.

Mine are.

5. John Paul Jones/Led Zeppelin

4. Steve Harris/ Iron Maiden

3. John Entwistle/The Who

2. Billy Sheehan/Mr. Big, David Lee Roth Band, Steve Vai band, UFO.

1. Geddy Lee/Rush

I have been fortunate to have seen all of the above except John Paul Jones...I am still hoping for a full blown Zeppelin reunion!!!

The first band I ever saw was KISS when I was 7 years old at Dorton Arena, I've seen them 10 times since then.

I love going to shows. I've been to several hundred concerts and seen over 80 bands live.

What is the best show you've seen? Mine was Pink Floyd at Wimbley Stadium in London 1987. I was BLOWN away, they played for over 3 hours!!!

haven't seen KISS, but saw Van Halen at Dorton Arena when i was 17...AWESOME!!!...wasn't able to make it to their last concert :(

Hey Allison! I saw Van Halen twice on the last tour, 2nd show of the tour in Greensboro last September...it was AWSOME I'd have to put the show in my top 5!! I took my 15 year old son to the show in Raleigh a month or so ago, it was his second concert and he was blown away. We had seats on the floor 11th row center stage, picked them up from scalpers 5 minutes before the show started for less than half of face value!

Bye the way what tour was it you saw them on?

I saw KISS and Aerosmith when they came to the Creek. That was pretty good.

I saw Kiss in June of 1979 in Savannah, Ga. My sister in law won tickets to see them. That was the onliest concert I've ever been to and enjoyed it. Even though I don't care for the concert sound.

I am figuring we are all about the same age, and today while listening to the radio, I realized that the music we listened to in H.S. is now OLDIES!

HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

It's a shame that I found myself listening to Hall and Oates the other day and thought, "Now that is a really good band." I just recently got the turntable remotivated so perhaps I'll review some albums for the group.

I'd have to go with Cliff Williams of AC/DC and Bill Wyman of the Stones.

Pyle, I can't deny Hall and Oates did have some good stuff.
