You should be able to recycle steel at one of the Wake County Multi-Material drop off centers; I believe there are two - one in N Wake Co and one in S Wake Co. They take scrap metal, which I would assume also includes steel. You can visit the Wake County Gov website here: http://www.wakegov.com/recycling/residents/multimaterialdropoff.htm

My DH and I are very environmentally conscience or try to be. We would like to replace our gas lawn mower and have been looking at the old fashioned push mowers (not electric but human propelled only). Anyone use one of these. The guy at lowes said the new ones are too light and do not do a good job and he recommended an electric (which we could do, but we have a small amount of lawn and electric mowers still use energy...) I have been looking for an older used one as an option. Anyone have any thoughts?
