about childfree by choice - no to kids
This is a group for those of us who have decided to remain childfree. We consider ourselves childfree by choice, and better off because of it.
We consider ourselves as living in an "adult-adult" world; meaning, we choose to have as little contact as possible, with children. We enjoy adult company and adult conversation. We are in the minority and know it.
We make no apologies for our decision to remain childfree, just as we don't expect you to make apologies for your decidsion to have children.
This is the place to come, when you want to really speak your mind about children or their clueless parents! Not all parents are clueless, though.
Just because I'm "nice" to kids, doesn't mean I like them, or want to be around them. It's called having to tolerate something that I find very uninteresting, irritating and boring. A complete waste of time. Some find dogs the same way. For me, it's kids.

Then, my husband & I went to Bob Evans restaurant. OMG! Repeat! Only, worse. If that is possible. I had to put my hands up to my ears, at one point! It was piercing! I am not talking loud kids. I am talking, SCREAMING kids and yes, that would be plural! It would not stop. I thought to myself: THIS MUST BE WHAT HELL IS LIKE! I have NEVER experienced such loud, piercing, screaming noises from such small mouths! It was HORRIBLE!
They may have no smoking restaurants and bars there, which is great, but I'd like to suggest a NO KIDS area too, in ALL eating establishments!
It was horrible! People were looking at those screaming hellions! OMG! Thank God I am child FREE! LOL!

Let me speak for ME: I am so hell bent on never having kids, that if abortion EVER became illegal, I would STILL get an abortion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In that case use extra protection. I mean bc pills and a condom , whats the chances of both failing you at the same time? But I get what youre saying nonetheless. BC is not 100%!

Swingtown: Now THAT show, I just LOVE! Not for everyone, but I like it, very much. My kind of show for sure. That show, had kids on it, already, and now, the couple (the main couple) who swings (their character) she is pregnant! OMG! Why screw up a perectly good ADULT tv show? Remembering these are just TV shows and not real life, it is still irritating, because I enjoy these shows, very much!
In closing: I hope on Lost, they add no more rug rats. I hope on Brothers & Sisters, the couple does not adopt! I hope on Desperate Housewives, they show AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE, of the kid adopted, and I hope on Swingtown, she loses the baby. (Remember, this is not real, it's TV, so it's ok for me to hope she loses the baby!)LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the following shows: Lost, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives and Swingtown. What really irritates me is the fact that these shows are incorporating kid/baby characters, in their story line, when they ALREADY HAVE kids/babies on the show. They are adding more!!! Why? These are, for the most part, adult shows. If I want to see a kid show, I'll watch Sat. morning TV!
Desperate Housewives: Already had kids on the show, NOW, they have jumped five years in the new season and Gabby is frumpy and has a kid now! The show is losing it's appeal, very fast to me.
Lost: Already had kids on it, but made a character pregnant and had the baby on the island......and then got another character pregnant and now that's two!! I don't care about storylines for babies or kids, I want to see the adult drama.
Brothers & Sister: Already had kids. NOW, one of the characters and her husband is going to adopt! Why ruin a good show!?
