Baked beans are good, so are a variety of chips (less work too)
Deviled eggs are usually a hit too.
Deserts....cool, and easy....
Dirt Cakes or sand cakes
Crush chocolate or vanilla oreos
layer with chocolate and/or vanilla pudding and cool whip
Do this the night before or at least by the morning of.
Keep in fridge.
If there are going to be a lot of kids there, you can stick some gummy worms in.

Brush ribs with orange juice before you place on the grill. The acis in the OJ makes the ribs tender and will melt in your mouth. Add bbq sauce of your liking before serving.

1 can 8 jumbo biscuits
1 large can sweet taters (heat on stove and add sugar and cinnamon to your liking)
Press each biscuit as flat as you can w/o tearing
Put tater filling in biscuit and fold over
Press BOTH sided of biscuit with fork
Drop in hot grease and fry for about 20 seconds on each side.
***substitute tater filling with can apples if you like***
This is quick, easy and delicious. I made them over the weekend.
Enjoy.

I use boneless chicken breasts (to lazy to pick out bones) Boil the chicken with cut up onions and diced tomatoes till chicken is done...add potatoes, lima (butter beans), corn and simmer for a while, then when it is about as done as we like it, I usually add crushed tomatoes and/or tomatoe sauce.
When my husband cooks it outside, he simmers it for hours.
