She's happy that she's just got a PC right now, so I suggested her friend look at it again.
I'll bet you're right though.... and if her friend is like me, they might have had some old PC's laying around & put an old card in there just to get her going. It may not even support 32 bit.....
With out being there, and looking at the settings, there's a whole slew of things it could be.
